Scout's Retreat - Luxury Wooded Retreat

Scout's Retreat is Hocking Hills Luxury Barn Home located on 12.5 private and fully wooded acres . The cabin was just completed in the first quarter of 2023 and is one of Hocking Hills newest cabin rentals for 2023!

The Design

When visiting Scout's Retreat guests will find a beautiful combination of rustic barn-styled design combined with luxurious modern amenities. 17 ft wood ceilings run from front to back in the cabin and lead up to a 26 ft tall rustic cupola which lights up at night.

The Cabin

The cabin consists of two levels, a main level and a full walkout lower level.   At just over 3100 sq ft in total the cabin sleeps 1-8 people very comfortably!

The Main Level

The main level consists of the kitchen, dining and great room areas of the cabin. Two identical master suites adorn the main level each with king-sized bed, private luxury bath, 55 inch big screen TV, blue ray player and walk-in closet for your luggage and clothes. Both bedrooms provide easy access to the rear deck and contain large windows overlooking the firepit area and 12.5 private, wooded acres of the retreat. Exterior seating is provided on the rear deck with exterior fans for the warm summer evenings.

The Lower Level

The lower level adds two additional guest suites. One for children which consists of three single beds and another adult suite with a king size bed. A shared bath area is available conveniently placed between the two bedrooms.

The lower level walk-out also holds our large 36 x 18 game and entertainment room. Enjoy pool, darts, video games and more with immediate access to the heated hot tub on the rear patio.

All guests staying in the lower level have access to large bedrooms with large egress windows and can walk directly out to the hot tub and firepit areas.

The Land

Scout's Retreat is located on 12.67 fully wooded acres (we say 12.5 normally) of the former Hocking County boy scout camp closed in 1999. The name "Scout's Retreat" is named in honor of the lands prior use. Guests will enjoy complete privacy on the 12.5 scenic and wooded acres during their stay.
